Maxine Tebbenkamp, 87, of Elk River, died unexpectedly Saturday, May 21, 2011.
Mrs. Tebbenkamp taught elementary school for 33 years, the last 25 years as an Elk River kindergarten teacher. She was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Red Hat Society, Book Ends and RSVP.
Her memorial service was Wednesday, May 25 at Elk River United Methodist Church. Interment was at Orono Cemetery, Elk River. Arrangements were made by Dare’s Funeral Home of Elk River.
Survivors include her children, John (Gloria), Rose (Richard) Brandt, Tom (Laurie), and Lynn (Ronda); grandchildren, Julie Stansel, and Joel Tebbenkamp; brothers, Charles Wiegers, and Ernest (Mary) Kemp; half-brothers and -sisters, Dona (John) Waddell, Dean (Lorna) Wiegers, Jackie Lou Garret, and David (Mariel) Wiegers; and step-brother, George (Lou) Hepler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, and half-brothers Bud and Jim Wiegers.
Memorials are preferred to Maxine’s Kampership Fund at Elk River United Methodist Church.
