Three guns stolen in theft from vehicle
Elk River police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle case in which three firearms were stolen.
A 22-year-old Ramsey man reported at about 9 p.m. on May 15 someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at the Babcock Park boat launch. He had been fishing at the time of the theft.
Taken was a 9 mm handgun, a 10/22 rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun as wells as cash, a GPS unit and other assorted items.
The theft happened sometime between 6:30 p.m. and the call time.
An investigator was called to the scene to obtain fingerprints.
