The Minnesota School of Business is hosting its first military resource fair for active duty members, veterans, spouses and children of military members from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 31 at the Elk River campus.
Representatives from the Sherburne County Veteran Services, Family Assistance Centers, VA Healthcare, Mental Health Center, recruiting officers and other representatives will be available to answer questions from the public. This event will also educate people on VA health benefits, ReMax’s military discounts and VA mortgages.
Joe Bodnar, a Vietnam veteran from Elk River, will be speaking about his experience at noon during the event.
“We have a big percentage of military students on our campus who have asked for additional military resources,” said Kayla Stai, campus communications specialist.
Other MSB campuses have hosted these types of military resource fairs and have had a great response from the general public.
“It’s an open flow event, so come for five minutes or the whole time,” said Stai.
