Mary Agnes Andersen, 77, of Zimmerman, died Thursday, May 12, 2011.
She was born on May 27, 1933, to William and Mary (Gallagher) Wilson of Zimmerman. On June 2, 1956, she married Nels C. Andersen. Together, they were charter members of the Zimmerman Evangelical Free Church, where Mrs. Andersen remained active until her last years.
She was well-known as the clerk-treasurer for the city of Zimmerman for over 20 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed serving as a member of the Gideon’s International Auxiliary and volunteering at the Bibles For Missions Thrift Store in Robbinsdale.
A celebration of her life was held Tuesday, May 17 at the Zimmerman Evangelical Free Church. Interment was at Bellwood Cemetery, Zimmerman. Arrangements were made by Williams Dingmann Funeral Home of Princeton.
Her survivors include her husband, Nels, of Zimmerman; children, Jane Horner of Waconia, Daryl of Brooklyn Park, Laura Myers of Zimmerman, and Tracy (Steve) Morris of Calgary, Alberta; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and her sister-in-law: Lorraine Wilson of Zimmerman.
She was preceded in death by her young daughter, Beverly, and her brother, Arthur Wilson.
