Baseball: Thunder top Buffalo 10-3 in 10 innings

Kyle Connelly pitched all 10 innings and the Zimmerman Thunder beat first-place Buffalo 10-3 on Friday.


The Thunder scored seven in the 10th after the go-ahead run scored on a squeeze bunt. Buffalo made two throwing errors and the Thunder had several hits.


Connelly, backed by no-errors defense, gave up seven hits and two walks, and struck out 12.


Joe Neilson was 3-for-3 plus a sac bunt and walk and Ka Crandall 2-for-6 with three RBI.


Zimmmernan is 4-8 in conference and 5-8 overall. Buffalo is 9-4 and 9-6.


Zimmerman will host Big Lake on Monday.
