Shoplifter sought after fleeing in parking lot

Elk River police are investigating a shoplifting case that occurred about 1:30 p.m. at Wal-Mart on May 8.  A woman left the store with about $180 worth of merchandise, and fled after a loss prevention officer approached her in the parking lot. The woman was last seek takingoff in a 1995 green Mazda Protege owned by a resident of Osage, Minn. Police were unable to locate the woman, believed to be Native American.

Wal-Mart recovered all of the items.
