Secret Service found the bills were real after all

Police were called on May 4 after a bank employee in the 19000 block of Freeport received three $100 bills on behalf of her son for deposit, and the bank employee stated they didn’t feel right and when initially tested were determined to be counterfeit. The son was questioned by Maple Grove police, but once the money was surveyed by the Secret Service it was deemed real and the man was cleared of any suspicion.

The $100 bills were returned to their rightful owner after they were determined to be real by the Secret Service.
