Baseball: Coon Rapids tips Elks 8-6

Elk River lost to Coon Rapids 8-6 on Thursday, dropping to 5-10.

 

Brandon Meyer took the loss, giving up eight runs (four earned) in 4 2/3 innings. Tucker Morrell had 2 1/3 scoreless innings.

 

The Elks had six hits and seven walks off four Cardinal pitchers. Logan Paige was 1-for-3 with two RBI, Terry Hadden 1-for-2 with two RBI, and Morrell 1-for-3 with an RBI.

 

For Coon Rapids, Logan Shore and Alex Wojo each had three hits and two RBI.

 

Elk River will host Armstrong on Thursday.
