Track: Thunder girls 3rd in true-team section; Ortberg has 3 firsts

The Zimmerman girls placed third among eight teams in their section true-team meet on Tuesday at Princeton, behind champion Totino-Grace and runner-up Becker.

Cassi Ortberg won thee events — 100 hurdles (15.47), 300 hurdles (46.79) and long jump (16-1) — and placed fifth in high jump (5-0).

Hannah Fordahl was second in shot put (33-10 1/2), seventh in the 100 (11.54) and seventh in discus (86-2).

Brooke Borchardt was third in high jump (5-0) and sixth in discus, Anna Huss fourth in long jump (15-6) and seventh in the triple (31-2 1/2), Alexis Olerich fourth in triple (32-3 1/4), Nicole Jurik fourth in the 3200 (12:45), Gabriele Kesliewski sixth in the 800 (2:39.85), Sylvia Michels eighth in the 200 (28.54), Abby Kratzke seventh in shot (30-1/2) and eighth in 100H (18.32), and Bailey Bright eighth 300H (52.54).

The 4-by-100 team placed third.
