Track: Thunder boys 5th in true-team sectional

The Zimmerman boys placed fifth among eight teams in the section true-team meet on Tuesday in Princeton. Totino-Grace was the champion.

Brandon Giese won the long jump (19-11 1/2) and took third in the triple (40-7) and seventh in high  jump (5-8).

Ethan Lunning won discus (137-8) and took second in shot put (50-4 1/2).

Lynk Downing placed sixth in the triple (38-9), and seventh in 110 hurdles (17.81) and seventh in the 300 hurdles (46.91). Alec Seymour was third in discus (128-1), and  fourth in shot put (46-1/2),  Brandon Smith eighth in the 800 (2:16.26), Dakota Spence-Zurek seventh in the 200 (24.43) and long jump (19-5).
