Wild West art night coming to school

Twin Lakes Elementary School in Elk River will host Wild West Arts Night from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12.

Students have been busy making artwork since January to create a stampede of western art. Each student will have at least two pieces of art on display. That is over 1,700 pieces of artwork.

Other activities:
•An ice cream social in the Otter Café throughout the night.
•Music by the Twin Lakes Elementary School buckaroos, who will sing some familiar western songs in the gym. Third grade will perform at 6 p.m., fourth grade at 7 p.m. and fifth grade at 8 p.m.
•Recorder performances throughout the evening in the Media Center.
•Stations will give students an opportunity to sample art products and make some western art of their own. Tickets for Make-n-Take art activities will be available to purchase during Arts Night; prices for art activities will range from 50 cents to $3. Or purchase a MAKE IT ALL ticket.
