Motorists will likely experience longer traffic back-ups between Rogers and Maple Grove during non-rush-hour traffic as road construction continues from last year’s project.
The work started May 4 as Minnesota Department of Transportation crews begin marking pavement. That work should continue through May 13.
Concrete repairs will then begin May 16, weather permitting, with final grinding to smooth out road surfaces taking place after that.
The project is estimated to be completed in early July, and there will not be any lane closures during fishing opener weekend, Memorial Day weekend or the weekend of July 4th.
