Baseball: Rogers loses to SP Central 13-8

The Rogers Royals lost 13-8 to St. Paul Central in a game played at Eastview High School.


“The plus side is we are starting to hit the ball,” said coach John Olson.


Will Terres was 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, leading a 12-hit attack by Rogers (3-6). Bjorn Bloom and Austin Barbeln had two hits each, and all three had a triple.


Freshman Adam Nauth pitched four innings (six runs, four earned) and Larry Huax took the loss in relief, giving up the go-ahead runs in the sixth.


Central’s Alex Arnott had two hits four RBI.


Rogers will host Buffalo on Monday.
