The Elk River softball team topped Anoka 7-5 on Friday with a 12-hit attack, improving to 5-3 in conference and 8-4 overall.
Kaitlyn Roche was 3-for-4 with two RBI and Courtney Jensen 3-for-4 with one RBI. Dani Edwards was 1-for-1 with an RBI and two runs and Kathy Opsahl 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Moriah Bruns got the win, giving up eight hits and six walks, striking out two. Three runs were earned.
Green and Gifford pitched for Anoka. Lindenfelser was 3-for-5 and Niedenfuer hit a solo homer.
The Elks (4-6) will play at Andover on Wednesday.
