RV caught fire

Elk River Police responded about 10 p.m.on April 21 to a report of a fire in an RV adjacent to a residence in the 20400 block of Smith St.

Upon arrival it was determined a generator in the RV had not been properly ventilated and had caused the walls around the area to overheat and begin to smoke. There was also an extention cord running from the home to the RV.

Elk River Fire extinguished the fire, which caused minimal damage.
