Baseball: Royals fall to Bluejackets 7-1

The Rogers Royals lost to Cambridge-Isanti 7-1 on Thursday in an erratic performance.

“When you’ve got more errors than hits, it’s tough to win,” said coach John Olson. Rogers (2-5) had three hits and seven miscues.

Cole Bakke pitched for the Bluejackets (6-2), striking out seven. Dylan Morris took the loss, giving up four runs (two earned) in five innings.

Ryan Epsen ripped a two-run double for C-I and Nick Johnson was 2-for-4 with an RBI. For Rogers, Will Terres had an RBI single.
