Softball: Rogers falls to Monticello 5-3 in 9th
Christina Hajder pitched nine strong innings but the Rogers Royals lost to the Monticello Magic 5-3 on Monday.
Miriah Dockendorf pitched the distance for Monticello, which scored two in the sixth to tie the game 3-3, and two in the ninth on a hit and two errors.
Hajder struck out 13, and gave up seven hits and no walks.
Going 2-for-4 were Hajder, Alicia Nelson, and Jess Owens. Nelson and Owens each had an RBI.
Rogers will play at Becker on Tuesday.
