Baseball: Thunder lose to Buffalo in 8th, 5-2

 

 

The Zimmerman Thunder lost in eight innings to the Buffalo Bison 5-2 on Monday.

 

A two-out error in the eighth inning scored two runs, and the batter who got aboard later scored as well.

 

JD O’Connell pitched seven innings for Buffalo, allowing two runs, to get the win, and Brennan Gilyard pitched the eighth for the save.

 

Kyle Connelly pitched five innings for Zimmrman, allowing one run, striking out three. Kam Crandall ptched an inning, giving up one run. Christian Korlath pitched the eighth, giving up four hits and a walk, striking out two, and three runs that  were unearned.

 

Connelly and Luke Schmit each had an RBI for Zimmerman (1-3).
