Softball: Big Lake tips Rogers 5-3

The Rogers Royals lost to Big Lake 5-3 on Thursday, leaving 12 runners on base.

“We are playing well and hitting the ball on the head,” said coach Dan Ohlgren, “but just not getting the clutch hit when we need it. Those will start to fall and turn the tables for us eventually.”

Christina Hajder pitched, giving up nine hits and two walks, striking out four.

The Royals (1-2) had 11 hits. Paige Madison was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Courtney Reinitz 2-for-4, Madi Anderson 1-for-2 with two walks and an RBI, and Alicia Nelson 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Rogers will play at Princeton on Monday.
