Jarvis “Jerry” M. Johnson, 74, of Zimmerman, formerly of Gibbon and Pequot Lakes, died peacefully at his home Thursday, April 7, 2011.
Mr. Johnson was a professional truck driver for over 40 years. During his retirement he loved to “putter” around his yard on his John Deere lawn tractor. He also loved to eat his way through the garden.
His funeral service was held Monday, April 11 at St. John Lutheran Church, Zimmerman. Interment was at Baldwin Cemetery, Princeton.
Dare’s Funeral Home of Elk River served the family.
Survivors include his brothers, Robert (Linda) of Round Rock, Texas and Henry (Denise) Boeder of White Bear Lake; step-children, Larry (Barb) Zdenek of Zimmerman and Lori (Rick) Hines of Davenport, Fla.; special friend, Judy Malz of Pequot Lakes; nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, and parents, Fred and Vera Ortloff-Boeder.
Memorial are preferred in lieu of flowers.
