Elk River graduate Kayla Boward, junior third baseman for the St. Thomas softball team, is batting .680 in conference games and was named co-player of the week in the MIAC on Monday.
Boward was 13-for-16 as the Tommies went 6-0 last week with four RBI, three doubles, and three steals. She shared the honor with a Katy Gannon, who had five homers for St. Mary’s.
Boward started the season 3-for-21 but is up to .441 overall for the season. In conference, through Monday, she had a .680 mark with two homers, four doubles, 10 runs and seven RBI. The Tommies are 10-0 in conference and 22-4 overall.
