Baseball: O’Donnell leads Bison over Rogers 6-2


John O’Donnell pitched a five-hitter with nine strikeouts, and went 2-for-3 at the plate, as the Buffalo Bison beat the Rogers Royals 6-2 on Monday in Buffalo.


In the season opener for Rogers, Blake Schirmers took the loss, giving up six runs (three earned) in three innings, with four walks and four strikeouts.


Dylan Morris then pitched three scoreless innings, allowing one hit, and picking one runner off base.


Will Terres was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Neal Smith delivered an RBI double for Rogers.


Rogers will host Big Lake on Thursday.
