Tennis: Elk captain, Koehler, to play for Winona State

Leah Koehler, Elk River tennis captain last fall, will continue her career at Winona State.

Koehler signed with WSU, coached by Courtney Zinter, with a partial athletic scholarship plus an academic scholarship.

Koehler had a 103-16 career record with the Elks and played in three state tournaments. She played No. 2 singles last year and went to state in doubles with Michaela Schulz.

A straight-A student, she plans to major in nursing and health services.
