Betty B. Parker, 88, of Elk River, formerly of Loveland, Colo., died Monday, March 28, 2011.
She was a member of DAR, P.E.O. Sisterhood and Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Parker and her husband served the Fontana Community United Church of Christ together for 25 years in Fontana, Wis. She was a gifted singer. She loved her pet bulldogs and turned that love into a collection of bulldog keepsakes. She and her husband traveled across the country on many different road trips.
A celebration of Mrs. Parker’s life will take place at 10:30 a.m. today (Saturday, April 2) at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Elk River. Memorials are preferred to Guardian Angels.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, the Rev. James; children, Marylyn (David) Bowman and Brian (Rita); grandchildren, Lindsey (Brian), Hesther, Taryn (Glenn), Parker (Mari), Shayna, Seth (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Blair; nephew, Bill (Sharon) Gern, and niece, Lee Anne Mick.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jess Gern.
