Car strikes light pole Monday morning

The Star News captured this accident photo just outside its offices this morning. A 39-year-old Elk River woman was driving along Freeport Avenue about 9 a.m. on March 7 when she hit a slippery patch and went off the roadway. She hit a street light and knocked it over. No one was injured. Two workers from Elk River Municipal Utilities picked the fallen utility pole.
