Basketball: Thunder boys beat Princeton 68-50 in Miss. 8 finale for both

The Zimmerman Thunder won their regular-season finale 68-50 over the Princeton Tigers on Friday evening, a duel of two teams playing their final Mississippi 8 game.

 

Brandon Giese tallied 18 points, Jake Wilson 15, and Gavin Doppler and Blake Ehley 10 each, for the Thunder, who finished fourth in the conference with a 9-7 mark.

 

Domenic Fraboni sank 16 points and John Jedneak 13 to lead the Tigers.

 

Zimmerman, seeded first in their half of Section 5AA, will host Eden Valley-Watkins on Thursday evening.

 

Zimmerman and Princeton will both join the newly-formed Granite Ridge Conference next year.
