Rogers, Elk River students get awards at North Hennepin art show

Elk River and Rogers students earned awards at the North Hennepin Community College High School Art Show.

Sam Phillips got the award for Elk River’s best entry for an untitled portrait

Katie Reimann got the award for Rogers best entry for her multi-media self-portrait “Through the Looking Glass.”

Leah Haggberg of Rogers entered a self-portrait in gouache that was also selected for next year’s competition postcard.

The fourth annual NHCC exhibit at Joseph Gazzuolo Gallery in the Fine Arts Center is open to the public Feb. 14 through March 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays.

NHCC invited high school art teachers to submit select works created by their students. Schools  participating are Brooklyn Center, Buffalo, Champlin Park, Elk River, Maple Grove, Osseo, Park Center, Robbins-dale Armstrong and Cooper, Rogers, and Zimmerman.
