Darryl Goskey, 71, of Elk River, died peacefully at home of prostate cancer.
He was a lifelong resident of the Elk River area. He retired from trucking after more than 30 years. He enjoyed classic cars, tractors and spending time with his family.
Mr. Goskey’s funeral service was held Saturday, Feb. 26 at Central Lutheran Church in Elk River. The Rev. Leon Stier officiated. Private interment with military rites was held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Casket bearers were Larry Rankin, Kevin Weinand, Don Stockler, Pat Bauer, Brandon Sailor and Dave Earenfight.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Donna; children, Dion Goskey, Gary (Tina) Goskey, Tim Goskey, Chaun (Kim) DeMars, Jesse (Becky) DeMars, Mary (John) Schulke, and Amy (Lance) Soderholm; mother, Shirley Goskey; sisters, Gerry (Cliff) Olson, and Susie (Pete) Barthel; sister-in-law, Darlean Goskey; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Mr. Goskey was preceded in death by his father, Ben Goskey, an infant brother and brothers, Lyle and Orlin.
