Basketball: M8 leader Buffalo tips Zimmerman boys 58-52
The Buffalo Bison stayed unbeaten in the Mississippi 8 by fending off the Zimmerman Thunder 58-52 on Friday evening.
Andy Ortmann tallied 17 points, Ethan Freer 16 and Peter Cassidy 11 as the Bison improved to 13-0 in conference and 17-4 overall.
The Bison held Zimmerman’s 18-points-per-game star Brandon Giese to 7 points. Blake Ehley led the Thunder (6-7 conference, 14-8 overall) with 11 points. Gavin Doppler had 8.
Zimmerman will host Big Lake on Tuesday.
