The Rogers Royals dominated the first half and held on for a 75-64 victory over Big Lake on Tuesday evening at home.
Big guys led the way as 6-9 Michael Schreiber scored 22 points and 6-6 Rory Donovan 19.
Rogers (8-4 conference, 13-7 overall) led 34-19 at halftime as the Hornets struggled with their shooting and the Royals snagged almost every rebound.
With Michael Stephens scoring 20 of his 22 points in the second half, Big Lake surged as close as five points before Rogers regained control.
Trevor Berkley added 11 points, Trevor Morlock 10 and R.J. Dean 9 for the Royals.
Brian Larson netted 11 points and Taylor Otto 10 for Big Lake (6-6 conference, 11-9 overall).
Rogers will play at Monticello on Thursday.
