Basketball: High, Bison nip Rogers boys 66-62
The Buffalo Bison fended off the Rogers Royals 66-62 and stayed unbeaten in the Mississippi 8 on Friday evening.
Josh High delivered 21 points, with five 3-pointers, for the Bison, now 11-1 in conference and 15-4 overall.
High sank three 3-pointers early in the second half to snap the Bison out of a slump, after they went scoreless the last seven minutes of the first half and trailed 23-21 at the break.
The Bison have two close wins over Rogers, the other being 57-51 in triple overtime.
Ethan Freer added 14 points and Caleb Ruter 13 for Buffalo.
Rory Donovan laid in 17 points for Rogers (7-4 conference, 14-6 overall). Austin Barbeln notched 11 points, and R.J. Dean and Trevor Morlock 10 each. Josh Turnquist and Michael Schreiber scored 6 each.
The Royals will host Big Lake on Tuesday.
