Sharon Lee Christoffer, 67, of Baxter, formerly of Elk River, died peacefully at her home Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.
She was born on May 23, 1943, in Litchfield, to Temple and Eleanor (Gray) Hicks. She grew up and attended school in Litchfield. On Aug. 24, 1964, she married Rodney Christoffer in Milbank, S.D.
Spending time with her grandchildren, camping, doing crossword puzzles, cooking and baking for her family and friends, and an occasional trip to the casino were things she enjoyed.
The memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Feb. 12) at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd. Friends are invited to gather beginning at 1 p.m. to visit with her family before the service. Interment will be in the spring in Lake Ripley Cemetery at Litchfield.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Survivors include her husband, Rodney; sons, Bryant of Wasta, S.D., Lance (Sherri Rognstad) of Champlin, and Jason of Elk River; sisters, Ann (Gordon) Lien, and Dorothy (Don) Zenner; brother, Richard (Delores) Hicks; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Mrs. Christoffer was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Edward; sisters, Marie, Jane, and Shirley; and a grandchild, Jennifer.
