Jonna Curtis scored the lone goal of the game with 33 seconds remaining as Elk River nipped the Blaine Bengals 1-0 at home Saturday evening.
The junior forward notched her 35th goal of the season on a power play, unassisted.
That shot gave a happy ending to the Elks in a frustrating game where they outshot the opponents 35-12.
Tori Hermann was in goal for the Elks, making 12 saves in the shutout.
Tara Hoverstad kept Blaine in the game with 34 saves and helped the Bengals kill seven power plays before the last one.
The Elks, who lost to Blaine 3-2 on Jan. 4, are 11-6 in conference and 17-7 overall with one game left in the regullar season, Blaine is 10-6-1 and 12-12-1.
The Elks will host North Metro on Monday evening and will start section playoffs at home on Thursday evening.
