Hockey: Rogers girls clip Princeton 5-3, playoffs next
The Rogers Royals closed the regular season with a 5-3 win over the Princeton Tigers at home on Friday evening.
Emily Antony and Tori Noland scored two goals each for Rogers, with Antony assisting on two others. Antony had one power play goal, and Noland had an empty-netter. Nikki Erickson notched a goal and an assist.
Rogers goalie Becca Leshovsky stopped 30 of 33 shots. Tiger goal Courtney Conger stopped 43 of 47.
Rogers finished the regular season 2-5-1 in the Mississippi 8 and 10-13-2 overall.
The Royals will start Section 5A play on Thursday at Parade Ice Gardens in Minneapolis. Pairings have not been determined yet.
