“Pay online” has not been an option for Otsego residents when paying their city utility bills.
That will change in just a few months, though, when city programming is completed.
Currently, residents and business owners either have to send their payments in via the U.S. Postal Service, or call city hall and give credit card information over the phone each month.
City staff acknowledges that process is time consuming.
Residents have been asking for the online bill paying option, City Administrator Mike Robertson says.
As more bills are paid online it will free city staff to do other things, as less time will be needed to process utility payments.
