A motorist who went off the road while traveling along Highway 10 in Elk River near the Kelley Farm made for an easy DWI arrest.
An officer on patrol at about 1 a.m. Jan. 30 spotted the driver’s vehicle in the median east of the historic farm. The officer noticed signs that the 30-year-old St. Paul man had been drinking. The ensuing investigation led to a charge of fourth degree DWI.
•Elk River police also arrested a 35-year-old Rogers man for fourth degree DWI after a traffic stop at about 2 a.m. on Jan. 29 at the intersection of Highway 169 and School Street. The driver had been weaving, crossing both the fog line and center line while southbound on Highway 169.
