Hockey: Elk girls rout Armstrong 6-1

Jonna Curtis punched in three more goals as the Elk River Elks beat Armstrong 6-1 on Fridaty evening in Robbinsdale.

Other Elk goals were scored by Jordan McLaughlin (power play), Chelsey Petrich and Madison Ellis while Danielle Esperum made two assists.

Curtis, junior forward, has 34 goals this year and has pushed over the 100 marker (currently 103) for her career.

Tori Hermann in the nets made 19 saves for the Elks, who had a 34-20 shot advantage.

Katelyn Duffy had the goal for Armstrong (2-14 conference, 4-19 overall).

The Elks (10-5 conference, 16-6 overall will host Anoka on Tuesday.
