Police to continue on with Crime Stoppers

The Elk River Police Department is beginning another year of partnership with Crime Stoppers of Minnesota to help citizens anonymously pass on information to help solve crimes.

Through this partnership, the Elk River Police Department continues to support the building of awareness and use of systems available through Crime Stoppers to collect information about crimes.

Citizens who may be reluctant to step forward with information about a crime or fugitive directly to the police but who still want to “do the right thing” can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously and the information will then be shared with the Elk River Police Department or which ever agency the tip information leads to.

Persons giving tips to Crime Stoppers stay anonymous and may be eligible to collect up to $1,000 in reward.

People with knowledge about a crime or a fugitive can submit information to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), going online at www.CrimeStoppersMn.org, or by texting a cell phone message beginning with TIP674, then the message and SEND to CRIMES (274637).
