Hockey: Royal girls lose to 1st-place Bison 2-0

First-place Buffalo blanked the Rogers Royals 2-0 on Thursday evening in Buffalo.

Bison goals were scored by Emily Varner (power play) and Bekah Wright, while Hayley Morningstar stopped 26 Rogers shots.

The Bison are 7-0 in the Mississippi 8 and 7-13-1 overall.

Michelle Klimstra was in goal for Rogers (1-5 conference, 15-7 overall), making 24 saves.

Rogers will play at Cambridge-Isanti on Friday evening.
