Elk River pumped in three straight third-period goals and pulled out a 4-2 victory over Maple Grove at home on Tuesday evening.

Down 3-2, the Elks knotted the score on a waist-high shot by Josie Brown from about 20 feet in front of the net at 1:39 of the third period. An Elk teammate lunged out of the way just before the puck came upon the goalie, who saw it too late. Cassie Schreckenghaust and Abby Kratzke assisted.
