Room-transforming class offered Jan. 27
Kelly Allen will help people learn how to redo a room in a weekend during a District 728 Community Education class.
“Transform Your Living Room” runs from 6:30–8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the Handke Center in Elk River. Cost is $25 per individual/$45 per pair.

Allen said she will talk about furniture, paint, colors, window treatments and accessories. Paint is the cheapest way to give a room a new look, she said.
Neutral earth tones are popular now, including tans, greens, yellows, blues and burnt oranges.
Overall, “green” or eco-friendly products and design are the big trend in home decorating, she said.
Allen graduated in May with a degree in interior design but has been helping people with their home decorating for some time.
“It’s always just been an interest of mine,” she said.
