Corcoran fire destroys part of home on Wednesday
A house fire in Corcoran broke out late Wednesday afternoon, severely damaging the northeast corner of the dwelling.
Rogers Fire Chief Brad Feist says his department received the call at 5:37 p.m., Jan. 12 of a house fire in progress at 20400 Duffney Circle in Corcoran.
Feist called for mutual aid from the Maple Grove, Hamel and Hanover fire departments in order to haul in water since there are no fire hydrants in the area of the blaze.
It took three hours to completely put the fire and ensuing hot spots out, and there were no injuries.
The Corcoran Public Works Department also responded, salting and sanding the street to keep it from icing over in the cold weather.
A Hennepin County Fire Investigation team is looking into the cause of the fire.
