Hockey: Royal boys blank Princeton 4-0
The first-place Rogers Royals, missing four starters who were on suspension, beat the Princeton Tiger 4-0 on Saturday in Princeton.
Bryan Jungles, Jake Einarson, Brandon Spah and Phillip Ballard notched a goal apiece and Zach Hnath made two assists.
The Royals outshot the Tigers 39-15. Junior goalie Keaton Mumm got the shutout, which was the first for Rogers this season.
Rogers had four players on a one-game suspension for their part in a brawl at the end of a 2-1 win over Buffalo last Thursday. Buffalo also had four one-game suspensions. All the players will be back when Rogers host Maple Grove on Tuesday evening.
Rogers is 3-0 in the Mississippi 8 and 7-5-1 overall. Princeton is 1-2-1 and 4-10-1.
