The Blaine Bengals were potent on the power play as they defeated the Elk River Elks 6-1 on Monday afternoon in Blaine.
The Bengals were 3-for-4 with a man advantage as they outshot the Elks by only 31-28 overall.
Taylor Bryan had the lone goal for the Elks (5-4 conference, 7-8 overall). Anders Franke made 25 saves on 31 shots.
Jonny Brodzinski knocked in three goals, two of them on power players, for Blaine (6-2-1, 9-3-3). Briggs Fossy had two goals, and Jess Norling had the other power play goal.
The Elks will play at Robbinsdale Armstrong on Thursday.
