The Elk River girls picked up their fifth straight win 3-2 over the Andover Huskies on Saturday in a game with four power-play goals at Andover.
The Elks took a 2-0 lead on goals by Chelsey Petrich in the first period and by Cassey Petrich in the second period, that one unassisted on a power play. Emily Heid assisted on Chesley’s goal.
Andover knotted the score with two power plays before the second period ended, scored by Rebecca Voltin and Olivia Vogel.
Jonna Curtis gave the Elks their final 3-2 margin 6:44 into the third period. Her 25th goal of the season, assisted by Madison Ellis, came on a 5-on-3 power play after a pair of tripping infractions on Andover.
Elk goalie Tori Hermann stopped 16 of 18 shots. Andover’s Madison Denny stopped 18 of 21.
The Elks, who’ve won 10 of 12, are 13-5 overall and 7-4 in the conference/
Andover is 11-8 overall and 6-6 in the conference.The Elks will play at Coon Rapids on Tuesday evening.
