Hockey: Buffalo girls blank Royals 2-0

First-place Buffalo scored twice in the second period and stymied the Rogers Royals 2-0 on Rogers on Thursday evening in Rogers.

Lindsay Roethke and Bekah Wright had the goals and Haley Morningstar stopped 19 shots for the Bison (4-0 in the Mississippi 8 and 11-6 overall).

Michelle Klimstra made 34 saves for Rogers (1-3, 7-10-1.

The Royals regained the services of junior captain Alicia Nelson, who missed 10 games with a leg injury after notching 6 goals and 5 assists in the first nine games.

Rogers will meet North Wright County on Tuesday in St. Michael.
