Elk River crime includes break-in, drug paraphernalia in vehicle
Technicians find signs of drug use in vehicle
A 48-year-old Onamia woman was arrested about 3 p.m. on Jan. 8 after the technicians at a Jiffy Lube in Elk River called police.
They had discovered marijuana paraphernalia and came across a strong smell of marijuana.
The woman, who had brought her vehicle in for service that afternoon, was cited for marijuana in a vehicle. Rolfe said she was not under the influence at the time of the arrest.
Items stolen from truck in garage
A male victim reported at 5 p.m. on Jan. 8 that an unknown person or persons broke into an attached garage owned by his grandmother and stole a stereo, subwoofer and tools from his vehicle parked inside.
The incident reportedly occurred overnight in the 22800 block of Meadowvale Road.
Driving complaint nets DWI arrest
A driving complaint helped Elk River police locate, stop and arrest a 52-year-old Otsego man for DWI about 6:48 p.m. on Jan. 9.
The traffic stop was made at Highway 10 at the weigh scales.
