Basketball: Elk boys fall to Andover

Elk River lost its fourth straight game 58-54 to the Andover Huskies on Tuesday evening in Andover.

The Elks led 25-16 at halftime but the Huskies ruled the second half, led by senior guard Jake Wager, who totaled 18 points.

Ben Erickson had 19 points and 7 rebounds for the Elks. Tucker Morrell supplied 12 points and 5 assists. Ryan Ness scored 10 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Coleman Hayes had 6 points and 7 rebounds. Will Iverson had 2 points and 10 rebounds.

“We played well….but couldn’t finish,” said Elk coach Randy Klasen. “We are getting better but we still need to learn how to finish a game.”

The Huskies are 3-4 in the NWSC and 4-5 overall, and the Elks are 1-5 and 4-8.

The Elks will host Park Center on Thursday.
