Elk River Area School Board Chairwoman Sue Farber swore in Jane Bunting Monday night at Elk River City Hall.
Bunting, of Rogers, is one of three new members on the Elk River Area School Board. She was away on a family vacation that had been in works for two years while the rest of the School Board held its organizational meeting on Jan. 3.
She joins Shane Steinbrecher, Tony Walter and Jolene Jorgensen who were sworn in at last week’s organizational meeting.
Bunting was elected to the District No. 2 seat over Ted Vecchio with 5,999 votes or 64 percent of the vote in this past fall’s election.
Bunting, 62, is an owner of Wayzata Bay Spice Company in Rogers. Her career has included experiences as a both an educator and business manager. She has also been the president of the Chidren’s Country Pre-school in Hanover as well as a member of the Wayzata Chamber Board of Directors and the chair of an advisory board for customized training at Hennepin Vo-Tech.
