Robert Fisch, a Holocaust survivor and author, will share his experiences and knowledge of this tragic time in history Tuesday, Jan. 11, in Elk River. The purpose of his book and talk, titled “Light from the Yellow Star: A Lesson of Love from the Holocaust,” is not to make a memento of this horror, but to know it and learn from it.
The WWII History Series, hosted by District 728 Community Education, will be held from 6:30 – 8 p.m. on Jan. 11 at the Handke Family Center, room 111, door 4.
The cost is $9 for individual and $2 for students. Pre-registration by calling 763-241-3520 is appreciated.
The WWII History Series will continue on Feb. 8 and March 8 with programs titled “Battle of the Bulge and Beyond,” and “The Third Wave, Iwo Jima,” respectively.
